Expression: outer enamel epithelium, stellate reticulum
No expression: oral epithelium, inner enamel epithelium, enamel knot, dental papilla, dental sac

Bell stage
Expression: outer enamel epithelium, inner enamel epithelium, stratum intermedia, stellate reticulum, dental papilla
No expression: oral epithelium, dental sac

Late bell
(differentiation) stage
Expression: outer enamel epithelium, stratum intermedia, stellate reticulum, dental papilla
No expression: preameloblasts, dental sac, preodontoblasts

Secretory stage

No expression: ameloblasts, dental sac, odontoblasts

Notch2 expression is downregulated in incisor but not in molar epithelium of IKKA -/- mouse. (Ohazama et al 2004) See expression of IKKA.
