No expression: oral epithelium, inner enamel epithelium, enamel knot, dental sac

Discrepancy in the expression pattern between reports..

Bell stage
Expression: outer enamel epithelium, inner enamel epithelium, stratum intermedia, stellate reticulum
No expression: oral epithelium, dental papilla, dental sac

Late bell
(differentiation) stage
Expression: stratum intermedia
No expression: outer enamel epithelium, stellate reticulum, preameloblasts, dental papilla, dental sac, preodontoblasts

Secretory stage
Expression: stratum intermedia
No expression: outer enamel epithelium, stellate reticulum, ameloblasts, dental papilla, dental sac, odontoblasts

Notch1 expression is downregulated in incisor and molar epithelium of IKKA -/- mouse. (Ohazama et al 2004) See expression of IKKA.
