Expression of Arnt in mouse tooth

Arnt; Ahr nuclear translocator; Dioxin receptor, nuclear translocator; Hypoxia-inducible factor 1, beta subunit; Hif1b; Hif1-beta; Tango; Arnt/Tel fusion gene, included

Species: mouse
Location in mouse genome: chromosome 3, 98135077 - 98196111 (UCSC, assembly October 2003)
Tooth: molar and incisor
Method: immunochemistry, antibody:

Bud stage
Expression: oral epithelium
No expression: dental epithelium, basement membrane, dental mesenchyme

In the incisor Arnt protein is expressed in the invaginating dental epithelium. Later no expression in the undifferentiated dental tissue but upregulated when odontoblast and ameloblasts differentiate..

Cap stage
Expression: oral epithelium
No expression: outer enamel epithelium, inner enamel epithelium, enamel knot, stellate reticulum, basement membrane, dental papilla, dental sac

Secretory stage
Expression: stratum intermedia, ameloblasts, odontoblasts
No expression: outer enamel epithelium, stellate reticulum, enamel, dental papilla, dental sac, predentin, dentin
